Workshops and Events

Our workshops are all about unleashing your creativity.

That means we encourage you to explore your own ideas, to bring your own unique style into your creations and to experiment with variations on the techniques we teach.

We call our learning environment a ‘workshop’ rather than a ‘class’ because a workshop is more of an experimental place where sharing ideas and expanding on them together is encouraged. Although, we think you’ll agree that there’s more ‘play’ than ‘work’ in our workshops!

Our workshops are limited to a maximum number of 6 participants, as we like to offer a personalised creative experience and ensure that you learn as much as possible while you’re here. We pride ourselves on providing a relaxed and comfortable learning environment where no one feels pressured to ‘keep up’ or struggles to hear the teacher over the chit chat of a large group.
And really, what’s a workshop without the chit chat?

Should you wish to attend a workshop with friends, please make sure you are all booking together to avoid disappointment, or try our À la carte Workshop option – get 4-6 people together and we’ll custom-design a private session to fit your requirements.

While some of our classes will be project oriented, we structure each session so that you take home more than just the completed project. Our aim is that when you leave a workshop at Scrappindipity, you’re armed with the confidence, techniques, knowledge and ideas that you need to work on your own projects at home.

Most of our workshops include the basic materials needed to complete the project; however some will require additional items. Please familiarize yourself with the individual workshop requirements prior to making your booking.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Our teachers deserve to know that there will be a good turnout for workshops they are booked for and that they will be compensated for their time. This is why we ask that a 50% non-refundable deposit is made at the time of booking. We understand that sometimes ‘life gets in the way’ and you may not be able to attend a session you are booked in for. You are welcome to send someone else in your place, or if you’d prefer, we can transfer your deposit to another session if 48hrs notice is given.
  2. Children (under 12yrs) are not encouraged to accompany adults to workshops. This ensures the comfort and safety of all participants (and the children too).
If you’d like to share a workshop with your children, you are welcome to book an ‘À la carte’ session.
  3. Workshop kits may vary from the class sample due to stock availability and your own personal choices, however the techniques and style will remain the same.
  4. All workshops (and their associated documentation) are copyright to Scrappindipity and our teachers. Please respect the work and time that goes into the preparation of our classes and teaching material and do not copy or distribute it without our express written permission.
  5. Paper-Shaker stamps not applicable with workshop payments or workshop day discounted items.
