July 2010 – Words of Wisdom – 6 for 6
Due: end of July 2010 (Swaps will be posted back early August)
A favourite quote, song lyrics, poetry and prose. The best advice you ever received. The things your mother always said as you were growing up. The words you left unsaid.
Australian Participants – Please include stamped, addressed return envelope ($1.10 stamp on a C5 envelope preferred)
International Participants – Please include a self addressed envelope to return your cards in, and one extra ATC for Lorri who will personally cover the return postal costs.

An ATC is a miniature work of art, sized 2.5in x 3.5in.
ATCs are designed to be traded with other artists and help to share techniques, inspire and build community as well as being limited edition, collectible pieces of art.
ATC makers of all experience levels and styles are welcome to participate in our swaps.
We do ask that ATCs are handcrafted originals (no photocopies) and fit into the general category of ‘paper arts’ (that is, no straight digital work, no all-fabric/fibre pieces etc.)
We host one or two themed ATC swaps per month. You are free to interpret our themes in any way you choose.
All you need to do to participate in our swaps is get your cards to us on time. We do like it if you let us know that you’re going to participate by commenting in our blog or on the flickr page – that way more people are encouraged to sign up, and we know how many cards to expect.
The mailing address for all swaps is:
Scrappindipity
Shop 13-14, 51 Rockingham Road
HAMILTON HILL, WA 6163
Please include a stamped self addressed envelope with your swaps. Usually $1 postage on a DL (business) or C5 (A4 folded in half) envelope is sufficient for a single swap. A lot of people prefer to use padded post bags to ensure the safe delivery of their cards. Whatever you choose is fine, if we think there’s going to be a problem we’ll let you know.
Don’t forget to include the following info on the back of your cards:
Your name
Contact email or postal address (or both!)
Card Title
Swap/ Group Name
Card X of Y
Stamp credits & technique information is always appreciated too.

June 2010 – She blinded me with Science
Chemistry, biology, textbooks, experiments, mad scientists, testtubes and beakers. Get inspired by everything scientific. Try a new technique, mix things together and see what happens – make your craft room an art laboratory this month.
May 2010 – Faux Postage
Design your own postage stamps and use them as the focus of your cards this month. You can download a template to print your own, use decorative scissors or perforate your way to a mail-art may.
April 2010 - Sugar and Spice
Sugar and spice and all things nice, that’s what ATCs are made of.
Hit the kitchen for some inspiration this month, or approach this challenge another way and be inspired by rosy cheeked little girls.
March 2010 – Bollywood
Capture the colour, glamour and energy of a Bollywood film in your ATCs this month.
Feb 2010 - Leather & Lace
A slightly different approach to a valentines swap – choose leather, lace or a mix of both.
This one could get racy, so please indicate if you only want ‘PG’ rated cards in return.
Jan 2010 – Wood if I Could
Be inspired by all things woody – you might choose to work onto a thin sheet of plywood, wood grain laminate or patterned paper. Wooden embellishments, knotted textures, faux bois effects and woodland creatures come out to play.
December 2009 – Dedicated to the one I love
For this swap, choose someone who inspires you – it could be a favourite author, artist or celebrity, a relative, fictional character or even an inanimate object. Then use their work, style, personality or characteristics as a starting point for your own original ATC creations.

These themes look really great Bec, I can’t wait to play and make some cards.
It’s good having the list up here, then people can make their cards ahead of time – especially good for our international swappers :)
Thanks,
Lorri
